Rebecca Connor

Rebecca Connor, LMFT is a South Minneapolis-based licensed Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.psychotherapist.

Rebecca specializes in working with individuals, couples and families in her private practice in South Minneapolis.

Rebecca has led and assisted experiential and transpersonal workshops for women and for couples in the Bay Area and Twin Cities since 1996.

Rebecca’s post-graduate certification training includes the following:

Somatic Transformation Training (2007-2009)
Albuquerque, NM

Led by Sharon Stanley, student of Peter Levine, this training focuses on attachment trauma, healing the wounded nervous system, and on healing developmental, emotional and psychic trauma.

Stanley draws on groundbreaking studies of human attachment and the development of the human nervous system and brain. This training cognitively and experientially teaches therapists how to guide clients in the realignment and the healing of the damaged and overextended nervous system through listening to and processing the stories of the body and the psyche along with that of the mind.

Psychomotor Trauma Training
Minneapolis, MN (6-month intensive, 2004)

Based on working with the healing of developmental and attachment trauma as pioneered by Pat Ogden, this work guides clients to process through somatic processing and empathi8c and mindful awareness of body-mind.

Hakomi Method of body-centered psychotherapy
3 years towards certification training (1996-1999)

Founded by Ron Kurtz, Hakomi is a pioneering study in somatic healing through pacing, healing and integrative awareness of the body’s language.

Additionally, Rebecca holds art therapy certification from UC Berkley, and hypnotherapy certification, continuing educational trainings and extensive gestalt trainings through Mariah Gladdis from the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California.

Rebecca is an ongoing student of the work of Carl Jung, Marian Woodman, other archetypal and dream work studies since the early 90's.
